NSA Planned to Hijack Google App Store to Hack Smartphones

Today we are here with the discussion on US NSA planned hack of Google app store. Now similarly there is a news that is about these agencies that they had planned to hijack Google play store and plant malicious spyware through the apps in play store. The US spy and surveillance watchdog, NSA along with its Five Eyes allies planned to hack the smartphones through the google play store. They had planned to inject a malicious spyware in the smartphones using these play store by hijacking them. With Google play store samsung play store was also planned to target. Thismalware injection project was planned by joint electronic eavesdropping unit which includes all the five countries named as Five allies that are the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia.



There was a plan by NSA called as pilot project code named IRRITANT HORN by which they werehijacking the google play store and samsung play store and then they will be placing the malware in all the apps on these play store. And after that when the user all over the world download the apps from the play store the spyware will get installed in their smartphones and they were tracked by these agencies.

The top-secret document, obtained from the former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, was published on Wednesday by the CBC News in collaboration with The Intercept.
